The Victory of Good Over Evil
The Holi Festival is a Hindu celebration estimated at over 2,000 years old. The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair ruptured relationships. Holi is marked as much by religious fever and devotion as it is by loud music, traditional dances and of course the forceful scrubbing of bright gulal and abeer on friends and relatives. Interestingly, in Bangladesh, different cities and states have their unique traditions and ways of observing this day.
